About Team Raliegh Cycling

Team Raleigh is a cycling group of current and retired law enforcement officers and civilian supporters. We are dedicated to honoring officers that died in the line of duty and inspiring surviving families. The team was founded by members of the Raleigh Police Department, but now also has members from other local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies.

Team Raleigh participates in an annual bicycle ride from Raleigh, NC to Washington, honoring fallen officers from across the country. We cycle over 500 miles over 7 days making stops at local law enforcement agencies and sites of line of duty deaths along the route to honor fallen officers in those respective jurisdictions. Law enforcement, surviving families, and community supporters join us at each stop for a brief wreath laying ceremony to remember the sacrifices made by their fallen hero.

In addition, throughout the year, Team Raleigh honors each fallen officer from the Raleigh Police Department with a wreath laying ceremony on their anniversary date of their line of duty death.

We will never forget.

Our Vision
Too often, stories of fallen officers go unnoticed or support for their surviving family members is less than adequate. Our vision is to help bring awareness to the sacrifices made by fallen officers and support organizations that provide hope and support to surviving families.
Our Mission
Our mission is to remember the fallen and inspire the standing. Through wreath laying ceremonies, cycling events and other community-based fundraising events, we can tell the stories about our fallen, support organizations that provide hands-on support to families, and support programs that enhances officer safety.
